Emergency Medical Responder



The Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) is often the first medically trained person to arrive on scene of an emergency. EMRs provide basic first aid for soft tissue injuries and can assist in childbirth.


Emergency Medical Responder - Initial


Learn to provide BLS (Basic Life Support) assistance, as an Emergency Medical Responder, to those who live in or visit your community. This 54 hour course includes: patient assessment, childbirth, airway and breathing emergencies, cardiac emergencies, CPR and AED, medical emergencies, bleeding and shock, and muscularskeletal injuries. Students must be a minimum of 16 years old. At the conclusion of this program you will be eligible for your State of Connecticut Exam.

Emergency Medical Responder - Refresher


This 24 hour course is for individuals who currently have a Connecticut Emergency Medical Responder certification. It meets all state requirements.
