Emergency Medical Technician

An Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is a trained professional who responds to emergency medical situations, such as car accidents, fires or other types of emergencies. An EMT can volunteer or work for an ambulance service or a fire department. EMTs are responsible for patient care from intial assesment through turnover at the hospital or until a higher trained emergency medical provider arrives and takes over patient care.

American Professional Educational Services is proud to offer the National Registry Written Test onsite through Pearson Vue Testing


 

EMT-Basic Training Program


This course is a 200 hour program with an emphasis on teaching you the assesment of and treatment for a medical or trauma patient. This program includes lectures, practical labs and ambulance ride-time. Students must be a minimum of 18 years old. After the succesful completion of this course students will be eligible to test for the National Registry and Connecticut Certification as well as the Rhode Island License.

EMT-Refresher


The EMT Refresher Program is a 32 hour course intended for currently certified Emergency Medical Technicians. This refresher meets all State of Connecticut and State of Rhode Island Requirements.
